Moment to Moment – interactive installation

Members of the audience are the artwork while members of the audience make the artwork.

Inspired by photo finish technology, Moment to Moment captures each participant crossing a certain line in a grid. The software then collects and archives a slice of each ‘taken moment’ and presents them on a flatscreen elsewhere in the same space. Together all the slices make up a visual image in which people look like notes in a musical score, or dancers in a folk dance (2011).

With thanks to Luis Fernandez for electronics and software.
